Any of these can be done whole group, small group, homework. THESE SHOULD BE COMBINED FOR MORE THAN ONE LESSON. LOOK AT RIDGEFIELD BOOKLET TO ALWAYS INCORPORATE A PERSON. IF NEEDED, READ ABOUT A PERSON AND TALK ABOUT THAT PERSON. I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT WE USE THESE. THEY SHOULD READ AND TALK ABOUT THESE PEOPLE OF RIDGEFIELD.
  • Use book Reading About Ridgefield pg. 1-7 tells about the layout of the land which might help them understand other Northern Colonies. Read together and discuss.
  • Copy "Ridgefield Timeline" and hand out. Read page 10 - 15. Use these pages almost as an interactive. Discuss Catoonah. Take this profile out of the Notebook and copy. During writing, have them write a journal entry of what Catoonah would be thinking.
